Check In / Check Out

Check In / Check Out must be activated in your Dreamweaver MX site definition to ensure compatibility with Macromedia Contribute. To learn more about this feature, visit the Check In/Out page in Dreamweaver MX: Managing A Site.

If you are creating a new site in Dreamweaver MX and want to add compatibility for Macromedia Contribute, simply click on the "Advanced" tab of your site definition box, select the "Remote Info" category, and turn on the check box to enable File Check In and Check Out.

Note that once you have enabled Check In / Check Out, you should also supply Dreamweaver MX with your Check Out Name and Email Address. Enter this information on the site definition screen where you enabled Check In/Out.
