Join our List of Providers
The Boston University Washington Internship Program maintains an extensive database of potential internship providers. We are happy to work with any organization that is willing to accept responsibility for educating it's interns. We recognize that internship providers expend a great deal of energy and capital on interns, and we are immeasurably appreciative. We also recognize that the organization is getting a short term employee who is bright, well educated, and is not expecting to be paid for the work he or she is performing.
Internship providers find this to be a fair trade off.
Steps to becoming an Internship Provider:
- develop a position description and
- complete the internship provider data form.
That's all there is to it. We do not require contracts nor can we promise to have a student for your organization each semester.
Once reviewed:
- A staff member will contact you to talk about your expectations and what you will offer the intern
- Your organization will be added to our list of providers.
When a qualified student is accepted to the program:
- The Boston University Internship Coordinator will contact your office
- A resume and writing sample, plus any other application materials you require will be sent to your office.
- Your internship coordinator should review the application materials, and if interested, conduct a phone or in preson interview.
- An offer of an internship may be made directly by the internship provider.
A list of other providers within your field can be provided upon request.
