Students in front of US CapitolThe Boston University Washington Internship Program offers students form any university the chance to spend a semester in the nation's capital, studying and working along-side national political and public policy leaders. Prestigious internship placements include the White House, Capitol Hill offices and government agencies, trade associations and non-profit organizations. The program provides students the opportunity to explore a career in government or public service. Students can also take advantage of Washington's rich cultural offerings, and the field trips, guest lectures and special events offered by the program. A semester in the Washington D.C. Internship Program will change a student's perspective on the world.

The Boston University Washington Internship Program offers:

Fall Semester: early September to mid–December
Spring Semester: mid–January to late April
Summer Term: late May to late July

Program Costs

The program fee for the Washington, D.C. Internship Program is equivalent to the standard tuition and room and board charges at the Boston University Charles River campus. Students receive 16 credits for completing the program. Financial aid is available.
