| Background | David joined the VNNS lab as a doctoral student in 2006. He graduated from the University of California San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He has been a Mission Chief with NASA ISS EarthKAM and has spent over four years as a teaching assistant. Currently, David is at Boston University pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in low power auditory neuromorphics. As a sidenote, David can also talk with computers, kinda like Dr. Doolittle does with animals. | |

| Background | Cassie came to the VNNS lab as a Phase II MS LEAP student in Computer Systems Engineering, and decided to stay at BU to pursue a PhD. She also holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining LEAP, Cassie served as a U.S. Army Officer. Her current professional goals are primarily influenced by her previous service as an active duty Army Communications Officer. Her military career included wartime and humanitarian operations worldwide with the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division, Fort Campbell and the 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg. | |
