Getting Started

Before beginning your project, the following forms need to be completed (you will receive one copy of each in your award packet):

• Award Acknowledgment Form
• Press Release Permission Form
• Patent Policy Form
  
• I-9
  (Note: Please complete this carefully. We are not allowed to advise you on this form – you must contact SEO with any questions. It will be returned to you if it is not filled out completely)
• W-4
  (Note: You will be required to show the specified forms of identification. Please bring them to the office with you when you submit your completed award packet.)

Wrapping Up

Summer researchers will need to do the following at the end of their term:

• Send your one-page abstract to the UROP office by August 17, 2009.
  Consult the Abstract Guidelines before submitting your abstract.
• Complete the Student Evaluation Form
  Your mentor will be contacted separately and asked to fill out the Faculty Evaluation form.

Symposium Information

All summer UROP students are expected to present a poster at our Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium in October (October 15, 2010 is the next symposium).

If you will be abroad, please contact the UROP office for instructions.
