Overview

The Soft Robotics Control Lab regularly recruits undergraduate researchers to work with our lab (https://sites.bu.edu/srclab/). We do not have any open positions at the moment, but we encourage you to submit your resume using the link below if you might be interested in the future.
We usually look for engineering students who have finished two years of their undergraduate degree, or if you have previous experience building robots, at least finished your first year. Projects will develop new hardware for soft robotic arms powered by artificial muscles, working alongside our PhD researchers as mentors. These tasks can vary based on students’ interests, but can include: (1) mechanical design in CAD and 3D printing, (2) writing software in Python and Arduino to perform hardware tests, (3) data analysis and write-ups, and possibly (4) calculations and simulations of the robot.

Please apply through the Join Us form on our lab’s website, https://sites.bu.edu/srclab/join-us/. When applying, please describe your experience working in engineering projects, your areas of interest, and most importantly, your goals after graduation from BU’s undergraduate program.
