The Symposium was held on Friday, October 16, 2009. Award winners included Florencia Rago, first place poster, and Andrei Anghelescu, first place speaker.

Dr. Gilmore, Director of the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, has been appointed to the National Advisory Committee for the Beckman Foundation.

Approximately 73 of 82 applicants were awarded UROP funding for the spring semester.
NSF-REU “SURF” Grant Renewed
The National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates grant that funds 10 Boston Univeristy Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships has been selected for renewal. The renewal will be additionally supported by the Department of Defense, which has the option of partially funding outstanding NSF-REU sites.

Synapse, a publication featuring undergraduate research at BU, will soon be launched online.
