Northwestern University – NSF-Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU)
9-week program for students to engage in full-tie research on a nanotechnology-related topic. At the end of the summer, each participant completes a substantive research paper which is submitted for publication in Nanoscape—the first undergraduate journal of nanotechnology in the country and participate in the peer-review process.

Associated College of the Midwest – ACM Newberry Library Program in the Humanities
The Associated Colleges of the Midwest offers a semester-long fall seminar and a series of one-month seminars during the winter and spring terms. Seminars are offered on a wide variety of topics, but all seminars are designed to allow students to create their own research project appropriate to the Newberry Library collections.

Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago – Summer Internship in Neural Engineering (SINE)
A summer internship in Neural Engineering allows college students to work in an innovative, progressive, fast paced scientific environment where they are exposed to valuable techniques in Experimental and Theoretical Neuroscience, advances in Computer Science, New Theories in Mathematics and Mechanical, Electrical and Biomedical Engineering applications. Students learn the ins and outs of research designed to improve our understanding of the mechanisms of neural injury and recovery, promote greater recovery from nervous system disease, and provide accessible technology to the disabled.
