Student Spotlight

Recognizing student research

Delve into some of our participants’ research in a variety of fields. Students also shared what UROP helped them achieve, and some advice to those ready to embark on their own research project.

Keara Russell

Russell (CAS ’19), in the course of one summer, served as a research assistant in two large psychology lab projects, conducted her own independent UROP project in psychological and brain sciences, and mentored a high school student in BU's Research in Science and Engineering (RISE) program. "I don't know what I would have done without her contributions," says Professor Shannon Sauer-Zavala, her faculty mentor, "She functions at a similar level to my Ph.D. students."
