I am researching the “progress” of global jihad in the 21st century, in particular its inroads into the Western public sphere via news media and academics. documenting the development of various elements of this cognitive campaign in the course of the first decade of the 21st century through news media coverage of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the attempt to stigmatize and criminalize “islamophobia,” the spread of the “human rights complex” to the major global “human rights” NGOs (e.g., Durban 2001), the dogmatization of post-colonialism (underdogma), the shift in prevailing definitions of “right-left,” the clash and overlap of apocalyptic narratives etc.

The research could lead to the creation of web sites dedicated to documenting and archiving the phenomenon.
