Options: Volunteer Basis, Potential for UROP Funding

The Neuromorphics Lab (nl.bu.edu) studies biological intelligence and embeds the derived fundamental principles in bio-inspired computers and robots. The lab, recently featured in several Boston University media outlets (e.g., http://www.bu.edu/bostonia/summer13/versace/), is working with NASA to design bio-inspired neural models to control robots in planetary exploration tasks. In addition, we are also working with the Boston Science Museum on a permanent exhibit about robotics and space exploration.

We are looking for students interested in contributing to advancing the design, deployment, and testing of algorithms in robotic platforms, and gain knowledge and experience in this exciting area at the intersection between neuroscience, computer science, and robotics.

More up-to-date info on the lab available here: http://nl.bu.edu/news-and-events/category/news/
