Gursky – Biophysics/Cell and Molecular Biology
Options: Volunteer Basis
Opportunity for a motivated student to gain hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology and biophysics as applied to solve an important problem in structure, dynamics and function of Good Cholesterol and related proteins. The aim is to elucidate molecular details involved in protein folding and misfolding in major human diseases such as atherosclerosis and amyloidosis. This collaborative NIH-funded basic research is conducted by Drs. Haya Herscovitz and Olga Gursky in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics in the School of Medicine. Start as a volunteer, potential for paid work in the future.
