“Computer Adaptive Testing of Adaptive Behavior of Children and Youth with Autism” (Phase III)
This project provides UROP students with the unique opportunity to assist in the scoring and interpretation of gold standard assessments used in the fields of autism research and practice. This study seeks to validate a new, innovative, and strengths-based assessment of adaptive function called the PEDI-CAT. This project will compare scores on the PEDI-CAT with scores on other assessments such as the Vineland and Short Communication Questionnaire. Students will scores the Vineland and SCQ, assist with data entry and analysis, and participate in research team meetings with faculty and graduate students. Qualified students may have the opportunity to participate in dissemination. Students will also have the opportunity to become familiar with cutting-edge computer intelligence used in assessments (Computer adaptive testing).
