Annas – Health Law/Bioethics/Human Rights

George Annas
Options: Potential for UROP Funding, Potential for Work-Study

Research assistant to Prof. George Annas, chair of the Health Law, Bioethics & Human Rights Department, School of Public Health. The major project is confirming references for all statements in a book tentatively titled “Genetic Messages” , co-authored by Obstetrician-Geneticist Sherman Elias, and to be published by Harper One, a division of Harper Collins. The book is designed for anyone under medical treatment, or considering genetic screening of themselves, their children, or their fetus to bring them up-to-date on what is and is not known about the information their physicians may discover about their genes, including variants of unknown significance. The work will take place in the Department on the medical campus.
