Donohue – Public Health/Journalism/Foreign Aid

Anne Donohue
Options: Volunteer Basis, Potential for UROP Funding, Potential for Academic Credit

The Boston University Program on Crisis Response and Reporting needs a researcher to look into issues relating to foreign aid, development and health. We will hold a conference in late February and conduct a summer class co-taught with Kenyan students, funded by a grant from the Gates Foundation. Both conference and course will focus on aid, journalists who cover aid, why there is so little coverage of aid, and successful and failed aid projects, with particular focus on Kenya.

Researcher will need to be independent self-starter who can identify potential speakers for conference and readings for course.
