BU SURF Student Kaylinnette Pinet Wins Award
Kaylinette Pinet was awarded a prize for an outstanding student oral presentation at the XXI International Conference for Developmental Biology of the Sea Urchin held at the Marine Biology Labs in Woods Hole, MA (October 24-28, 2012). Kayli was one of only three students awarded a prize for student/postdoc talks. Of note, the other two awardees were PhD students from Duke and Brown who are on the verge of defending their theses. Kayli has been working with Dr. Cynthia Bradham in the Biology Department at BU on creating improved retroviral vectors for the genetic manipulation of sea urchin embryos.
