Options: Potential for Academic Credit, Potential for UROP Funding
Research opportunity on “Learning from Lehman”. The bankruptcy of Lehman was arguably the major event of the recent financial crisis. Due to the bankruptcy proceedings, there now exists a substantial body of information about the nature of the firm’s strategies and positions. The project will be for academic credit during Spring 2012. There is the potential for continued summer work under the FMG: Faculty Matching Grants (half provided by UROP; half provided by the faculty mentor)
Summer: $4000 for 35-40 hours per week for a 10-week program. Preference will be given to junior economics majors. The work involves substantial attention to detail, but could be an excellent opportunity for a student planning to attend law school. Greek.
