Options: Potential for UROP Funding, Potential for Academic Credit
Research opportunity on “Comparative analysis of public finance and public debt”. The objective of this study is to compare recent fiscal crises in Rhode Island (which operates inside of a fiscal union) and Greece (which does not). The project will be for academic credit during Spring 2012. There is the potential for continued summer work under the FMG: Faculty Matching Grants (half provided by UROP; half provided by the faculty mentor). Summer: $4000 for 35-40 hours per week for a 10-week program. Preference will be given to junior economics majors and students that can read Greek.
