A student programmer is needed to participate in the development of automated video annotation tools for labeling human activities in YouTube videos or personal video archives. The student will help in collecting a new video dataset that spans a broad range of human motion and activity. The student would also work on algorithms for processing of the videos, for instance extracting simple tracks/features of people and integrating those tracks into the existing action annotation software developed in our lab. In this project, the student will gain hands-on experience with various video processing and computer vision techniques for human motion and activity analysis. Programming experience is required. Specific interest in computer Vision is a plus.
