Bio:

Laurie loves Boston for many reasons, but mainly because it is her hometown. Born and raised in this beautiful city of Massachusetts, she has come to appreciate the erratic weather. She lives with her parents, older sister, younger brother and lovely fish named Amber. Before attending Boston University, Laurie attended Boston Latin high school, located 15 minutes away from Kenmore Square. With her home and high school down the street, it is pretty safe to assume that homesickness will never be an issue.

Living on campus has given Laurie the opportunity to truly enjoy the full college experience. She loves staying up until dawn talking to her floor mates, watching basketball and hockey games, making instant noodles for dinner, and smiling at random people on Commonwealth. Laurie is thrilled to co-chair the Spirit Committee this spring semester, especially with an amazing friend from high school. She is ready to spread school spirit and generate the mighty Boston University pride. Being a member of the Student Union allows Laurie to meet amazing leaders on campus and inspires her to be an equally active student.

Besides Student Union, Laurie is a member of the BU Ballroom Club. She loves Latin dances especially rumba, cha cha and jive. She competes with the club and likes dancing socially on her free time. She is also a member of the Peace Concert Committee and excited to be a part of an enormous effort to launch a social justice concert. Laurie really enjoys her various dedications and wishes she had more time to get involved with other wonderful clubs.

When Laurie is not studying or attending meetings, she enjoys working out at the gym, watching endless episodes of Lost, dining out, taking peaceful walks along Bay State Rd and most importantly, enjoying her time at BU.
