Alina Potts, BA '03
by Candice Clarke Brown
Alina Potts, BA ’03, wasted no time putting the skills she learned at the University Professors Program to use following graduation. Potts, an Anthropology and International Development major, gained varied experience in her sophomore and junior years when she traveled abroad to study with the Irish Council for Civil Liberties in Dublin and the United Nations Fund for Population Activities in Niger. There she learned how to develop and execute awareness campaigns and how to address issues in conflict communities. Earlier this year she was hired by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as the Youth Program Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator for their new Liberian Family Resource Program (LFRP).
