"The Legacy of Joe Gifford" documentary screening

A Boston University event presented by the CFA School of Theatre and BU Development & Alumni Relations. "The Legacy of Joseph Gifford" (2013) is a documentary, created by filmmaker Jill Uchiyama, which expresses Professor Gifford's life: the choices, influences, and impact that he has had and is leaving on the world. The film features Professor Gifford's dancing history as one of the last remaining Humphrey/Weidman dancers and shows how he became, and continues to be, a teacher for actors and musical conductors around the world. The screening will be followed by a talk-back with Professor Gifford and Ms. Uchiyama. We hope you'll join former faculty and fellow classmates for what promises to be an historic and memorable event. At 93 years old, our beloved professor still has much to share! This event is free and open to the public.
