From the West Roxbury section of Boston, Massachusetts, Mary Ellen attended Latin High School . The daughter of Frank and Janice Bingham, Mary Ellen has three brothers, John, David and Stephen. In high school Mary Ellen was coached by Tony DaRocha, a former star distance runner for Boston University.
Career Highlights Mary Ellen's speciality is the triple jump. She has become a steady performer, hitting marks of 37 and 38 feet as a regular occurence. Last year she placed second in the America East Conference and was fifth in the indoor New England Championships.

The Coach's Comments:

Mary Ellen is a hard worker who comes to every practice with determination and enthusiasm. She has been steadily improving from year to year. In addition to making herself better as an athlete, she helps her team mates improve as well, leading by example.
