Seriously, these slide shows have been hard to watch...is it really such a revelation that coal miners are intelligent? Of course they are intelligent! What is the implication otherwise?! Is it really such a revelation that there are cultures of which some of us know nothing about - cultures that develop around the industry of an area? Are we really that surprised? Did we think we knew it all already? The tone of these slideshows is embarrassing and offensive - the prejudice and stereotypes it demonstrates should not be something we highlight - at least not as a good thing.
