Gerry is a good friend of mine, and an amazing man. I am so happy that the Boston community has celebrated his dedication and work to film. As a student at BU, psych major, not film, I had the opportunity to experience a new sort of movie watching, where I met directors, editors and actors and saw realities I may not have otherwise been exposed to - quite different from the cheesy love films I am so fond of. More than that, Gerry is just a genuinely good person, intelligent and supportive, and I am happy to have him in my camp.
