The Jewish holiday Hanukkah is an eight-day celebration of the victory of the Maccabees over the larger Syrian army 2,200 years ago. Last Thursday was the first day of the eight days, and a candle-lighting on Mash Plaza was led by Rabbi Jevin Eagle, BU Hillel executive director, and managing director Ethan Sobel (COM’13).
