Disability Services works with current students that are blind or who have a vision-related disability to access textbooks in alternative formats, or through the use of assistive technology to access multi-media, and other programming of the University. Thank you for your question!

  1. Hello, Boston University offers textbook s in alternative format or appropriate accommodations for students who are blind or who have a low vision. Any prospective student or current student at the University may reach out to us at access@bu.edu or 617. 353. 3658.

  2. Students should check the BU Libraries (http://www.bu.edu/library) first before buying books that aren’t traditional textbooks or coursepacks. For example, 133 International Relations required reading texts are available as eBooks. Students should check with faculty to determine how a required text may be used – in class or at-home reading – to make the best decision on a specific book.
