    Amen.
I have only had one parent call their student during on of my classes (1 in 27 years ain’t so bad).
I asked to speak with the parent (mother) and the student gave me her phone.
I introduced myself and asked “You do know your daughter is at BU to take classes, right?”
I suggested calling during non-class hours was a terrific idea…and assured her that her daughter was doing just fine and would do even better without another interruption…
If you believe I was rude, well, I was not anywhere near as rude as interrupting that student’s education. There are teachable moments for parents, too.

I started at BU the same year “World of Warcraft” came out. My parents stole my passport and identity to lock and cancel my World of Warcraft account because they wanted me to focus on my studies. I feel this was extreme and also illegal because I was legally an adult and it was my account. Parents please don’t do this to your kids.
