There are 3 comments on A Class on Poverty and Discrimination, in the Year of Sanders

  1. The year of Sanders? Democrats have been talking about and working on policies to decrease inequality for ages. Think as far back as Roosevelt, LBJ. The question is how effective is the talk and the proposals. Reasonable people can disagree about the strategies, targets, and tactics that will be most effective. And how effective they are once in office, including long-term office holder Sen. Sanders. For a good book on the politics of inequality, see Larry Bartels, Unequal Democracy: the Political Economy of the New Gilded Age (Princeton University Press)

  2. The Swiss voted against trashing the value of their money. If doing nothing is worth $2,500 per month – how long before $2,500 is worth nothing? No long.
