  1. Thank you to all these amazing folks and to all the rest who are essential to us. We are greatful to you not just on these snowy day, but the whole year round.

  2. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of all of our kids! I was just wondering about how everyone was getting to work in all of the crazy weather we have seen on the news. Living on the west coast, my husband and I keep checking in with our son through texts to make sure he is eating. Having worked in the east at a university dining facility myself years back, I was hoping there was a hotel where people could stay so they wouldn’t need to worry about commuting back and forth in such treacherous conditions. Glad to hear you can stay at the Hotel Commonewealth. We are very grateful to all of you working there at BU for keeping our kids nourished and safe. I loved hearing about you and seeing your faces here. Be safe and try and stay cozy!

  3. I wish we could get a chance to hear the stories of each and every worker who has served so graciously these past days. As students at BU, we’re so grateful for the work you’ve done. I hope when the weather gets better we won’t forget to be thankful for the sacrifices and service provided daily by these wonderful people. They go above and beyond even in fair weather!

  4. You are all amazing, dedicated people. As a parent of a BU student, I truly appreciate all your efforts. I love that BU shared your stories and photos. Great job!

  5. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope that in the future we can hear more stories of our everyday heroes from BU Today. It’s true that we would not be a college without our faculty, but we wouldn’t be a community without our staff. Thank you once again for all your hard work, and thank you for helping keep us safe!

  6. I really wish there was a way for me to thank every single one of the BU facilities, dining and food services staff, and everyone else who many university students seem to forget are regular human beings just like us. I am so grateful for all that you guys do for us and I can’t say it enough — THANK YOU! Among the many things I will miss about BU when I graduate, is the always-smiling, always helpful BU dining and facilities staff. :(

  7. So many wonderful people who work on our campus doing so much, how wonderful to read about some of them, I wish each and every one could be acknowledged this way, thank you

  8. With heartfelt THANKS to each and everyone of you and others who keep BU facilities, housing, dining and food services running while majority of campus is shut down! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! I hope this snow storm passes soon.

  9. THANK YOU! to all the great people who came to work during the big storms. Our daughter is a student at BU and we live so far from her – we are very grateful for your hard work and dedication, especially during the storms. Good luck to Mr. Lee on his well-deserved retirement!. The Badduke Family

  10. I am so proud of my son, Kyle McMurray. Its no surprise to me that he finds his way to Starbucks, during a blizzard, to keep the coffee hot. Kyle has always been a self starting, hard worker, working at age 13 in a meat shop to now, managing Starbucks, i,m so proud, Good job. love you Dad
