YouSpeak: Coping With Stress During Finals

Students share strategies for getting through

Yes, it’s here. The time of year everyone sort of dreads. Wednesday is the last day of classes, followed by two study days, with exams starting Monday. We all know what that can mean. Reading 450 pages by sunrise. Writing three papers in 48 hours. Full-on studying.

We fanned out across campus one night late last week and asked students at GSU, Warren Towers Dining Hall, and the Late Night Kitchen at 100 Bay State Rd.: “How do you cope with stress during finals?”

Which of their answers sounds to you like a lifesaver?

And if you could use a little extra fuel to gear up for exams, stop by 100 Bay State Rd. this Wednesday, December 10, between 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. for the Midnight Breakfast hosted by the Office of the Dean of Students and the College of Arts & Sciences’ Student Programs & Leadership, and Student Activities. The event, which will include massages and giveaways, is free and open to all students with a valid BU ID.

YouSpeak” typically appears on Mondays. If you have a suggestion for a topic, leave it in the Comment section below.
