  1. Tori, I’ve never met you, but I’m so proud of you for choosing to excel and for being so determined to make a wonderful life for yourself. Your upcoming work at the Posse Foundation will be of great value to those students who will follow. Kudos to you. You’ll shine especially bright during your speech.

  2. Tori, your story is what let’s those of us who work in Higher Ed know we made the right decision. Your struggles, strength, determination, successes, and accomplishments makes us so so proud. You give us the motivation to continue our work. I am so proud of you . All the best, Ms. Kennedy

  3. Someone is going to be setting quite a precedent tomorrow! GOOD LUCK – we are lucky to be hearing from you! Thank you for sharing your story.

  4. Tori, I was sitting in the COM convocation waiting for my daughters name to be called. You were introduced as the student speaker and when you stood up to wave I felt a big smile stretch across my face. You look like my daughter. Then on Sunday when I heard your speech, you were my daughter. You see she nor I were supposed to be there in Boston at BU celebrating her amazing accomplishments. A young unwed mother who barely completed high school who herself was born to a teenage mom who didn’t complete high school. But there we were, three generations of beautiful black women celebrating an amazing accomplishment. I am so proud of you and your family. Job well done!!

  5. Congratulations, Tori! I knew when I first met you five years ago as a high school senior in Atlanta that you were destined for greatness. I’m so proud of what you have accomplished at BU and I wish you all the best as you continue your journey beyond the walls of this fine institution. We gave you the opportunities and you took advantage of them all and just soared…I am so incredibly proud of the young woman you are today!!! Warmest wishes, Kelly
