Points of Departure: My Gratitude
Cory Morano (CAS’14)
While working as an admissions tour guide for the past four years, Cory Morano (CAS’14) became adept at taking prospective BU families around campus, sharing special spots, unique exhibits at the Howard Gottlieb Archival Research Center, and her own experiences living at Towers—all while walking backwards. Morano says that one of her favorite parts of the job was that she “really got to make a difference in one of the biggest decisions a person ever makes.”
After giving her last tour recently, the admissions ambassador found herself reflecting on her own experience at Boston University. A family on that final tour asked her: “Can you imagine yourself not being here next year?”
“I really started to think not just about how scary it is that I’m going to be leaving,” Morano says, “but also how thankful I am for everything I’ve gotten to do here at BU.”
