There is 1 comment on MED Researchers to Share $6 Million NIH Grant for CTE

  1. Is there a way to enroll in future studies a 9-year-old who iust started tackle football?
Is there an email list or newsletter to which concerned parents can subscribe to keep abreast of this topic as it relates to children?
I am very concerned about my son’s playing and just said no last year. But, this year my 49-year-old football fanatic husband who played from age 7 through college (and who I believe himself is experiencing some CTE-like symptoms) insisted, so our son is playing this fall.
So, at least I would like my son’s playing to benefit this research so that other mothers like me have more data behind them and do not have to battle others (spouses or children) regarding whether to embark on potentially tremendous risk for our sons at these young ages.
