An important point about labels and language guidelines…”mentally Ill people” does not put the person first-a primary value of psychiatric rehabilitation and perpetuates the stigma, prejudice and discrimination that people who live with mental illnesses experience every day at work. “People with mental illnesses” values the person and is what we advocate for in journalism. thank you!

    1. This article did not use “mentally ill people” even once. You are criticizing the author of this article for something they did not even do. You need to read more carefully before you start getting your panties in a knot. Thank you!
