  1. I am so pleased to see BU Today taking an interest in the Fine Arts and reviewing pieces done at the Boston University Theatre. However, I find it a disservice to everyone involved on the design and technical end that they were lumped together as
“CFA student set designers”. There was one set designer, Courtney Nelson. There was a projections designer, Matthew Haber. Lighting was provided by Brandon Bagwell. Costumes were designed by Kathryn Schondek. Their combined efforts were what made the show the visually stunning opera you see on stage. The truth is none of these budding professionals need recognition in an article to bring validity to their work but if recognition is going to be given in the article, it should be correct.

  2. Another aspect of personal preparation in advance of attending one of the performances can include a visit to the work’s page (on the publisher’s web site). Besides a synopsis and some details of the forces involved, you’ll be able to view–in this case–the entire score online
