On Sunday, May 19, approximately 20,000 of the Class of 2013’s family and friends attended the 140th Boston University Commencement. They listened to speakers, paid tribute to class members who died, and witnessed the more than 6,600 seniors and graduate students toss their caps in celebration. After the tents come down and the chairs are folded, the sights and sound of Commencement 2013 live on as part of BU’s long-standing Commencement tradition.

  1. The MET Convocation and BU Commencement ceremonies were awe inspiring. Although I did my classes online, I still very much felt a part of the BU family. I had a wonderful weekend in Boston and it is not a time I will soon forget. Thank you BU for helping achieve my goal of obtaining my Masters in Criminal Justice.

  2. The BU graduation of both Sargent College and the BU Commencement was an inspiring ceremony. I am honored that my son went to BU and I enjoyed every moment of this great weekend. I am so happy I get to do it again when he receives his Master next spring once is just not enough.
