  1. Too bad “business insider” is a rag. The only B-School rankings that matter are US News and World Report(BU Ranks 40). FACT not Opinion.

      1. SMG Student, I agree. Their rankings are based on nothing but the accept/rejection ratio and test scores, not based on anything substantive. Fact is, they are the flagship rankings, nothing else comes close.

        1. In the case of BU it makes sense to ignore them. Because they are legacy rankings it’s just too hard and expensive for BU to climb them quickly. They should focus on doing a better job with recruiting and job placement.

    1. You’re obviously from the Michael Felger School of Commentary when you use the phrase, “Fact Not Opinion.” This makes me suspect that you haven’t had an original thought in your life. As such, I’d consider your opinion pretty much worthless.

    1. Really? It’s much more useful than any liberal arts major I can think of. You’re still strengthening your critical thinking skills, while learning to work more efficiently with teams and learning more practical topics that are fairly applicable in the workplace. Not to mention you can still take some liberal arts classes at a place like BU to round out your education.

Either way, a business degree is practical, flexible, and smarter.

    2. I agree, undergrad should be a time to gain specialized skills and explore interests. If you are passionate about business then nothing wrong with it, but a lot of people unsure of what to study choose business and I feel thats not a good decision. I mean there is a reason, for example, one can get his or her MBA after a BS in engineering or science but a BBA ( Bachelor of Business Administration) or related degrees cannot just jump into getting a MS.
