There are 5 comments on JetBlue CEO Talks Airlines, Aspirations

  1. The advice seems shortsighted.
As I see it, individuals need to recognize the way they tick and cater to it – rather than following a formula that worked for one executive in particular. Moving geographically can enhance some individuals’ happiness and lifestyles, but it’s most certainly not a ‘one size fits all’ formula.
Also, turning down a job offer with student loans and rent to pay, while not having healthcare, seems very irresponsible. I would much sooner recommend a graduate to jump on that job, and then use it as a platform to search more comfortably while knowing you are not going bankrupt before your 30th birthday.

  2. Interesting how Mr Barger talks about not wanting a “third party”, yet he and his CEO friends at his airline use attorneys to negotiate their contracts and over-sized bonuses. At its core, how is this any different than having a union. It is basically the same thing, but on a much smaller scale.

Mr Barger lives in a $10 million Plaza NY condo, while his employees qualify for food stamps. He is just another airline exec on the take. They are all the same. Greed disguised at caring.
