  1. This is great! I hope it will help Lu’s family and the other girl Zhou. As an international student myself, I know how bad our health insurance is. Hope Zhou can use the money for recovery.

  2. I did not know this beautiful angel but my heart hurts just the same. Proud to see my alma mater being a class act, however much saddened behind the need.

Lu, sweet child in heaven, you have touched many lives and will never be forgotten. Study hard in heaven!

  3. One angle went which is really one pity for all of us, especially for their family. Luckily one scholarship was lanched to remember her. May Lu good in heaven. One Chinese fellow in China.

  4. This wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, dedicating young lady will be missed. If she alive, she would make everybody happy near her. Her character, is someone that you want to be friend with forever.

  6. a extremely beautiful and smart girl from my hometown is gone suddenly, the pain and sadness is unbearable. I never met her, she is my girl in my heart forever. Her angle image is real , inspiring, million times appealing than phony pop star. looking at her picture, it seems that she tell us to move forward, love your life and create wonderful things. I get it.

  7. It’s really a sad news when we heard Lingzi was dead after missing for 2 days! What a pity an excellent girl we know died in the Boston Marathon Blast Tragedy. But we feel warm when we heard a memorial Lingzi Scholarship was established to remember this smart angel-like girl. Thank you all the BU faculties and the kind people with love and sympathy. I’m in China.

  8. It is great to hear that, it makes us proud of BU, LU Lingzi was an amazing girl, her memory deserves the greatest honor, she will always be in our hearts

  9. As a former BU Graduate student (GSM 89) I feel proud of seeing how well and quick BU has reacted honoring LU memeory with this Scolarship. Our hearts and prayers are with LU

  10. I came to the States from China four and half years ago to pursue my dreams in a US university just like Lingzi and feel very connected to her. I could deeply feel for her families in China, reminding me of my own. I can’t imagine what tremendous pains they are suffering. I pray for less violence in this world.

  11. 难道这就是所谓的红颜薄命吗? 为什么会这么巧? 逝者已矣,我们活着的人真的不应该为了生活的琐事在懊恼烦心了。因为在死亡面前,一切都变得那么渺小。

  12. I’m a Chinese student from sydney uni. It’s so sad to hear the news. I cannot image how sad your mom and dad are right now. All we can do is pray for you.Your smile will be always remembered. God bless.

  13. I am touched and inspired by this beautiful and intelligent young woman, an amazing representative of BU and the long standing focus on inter cultural relations and diversity. To have a scholarship in her name is a perfect tribute to her life, since she can sadly no longer be with us. While it would have been a blessing in her life, perhaps her death, through what BU is doing in her name, will also help the USA to enhance our positive communications with and understanding of China.

  14. So proud of my university for a tribute to this young lady and a week has not passed yet. Maybe offer a scholarship to the Richard family remaining kids and the family of the 29 year young lady who also loss their lives…

  15. I can’t believe such a Chinese talent is gone at this tragedy. I don’t know her but my tear keeps dripping by knowing she’s the third victim. Wish her pursue her dreams in heaven. Our hearts are with her family and friends.
    May the world peace!

  16. I think this is a wonderful thing to do in her memory.
I also hope the family can receive some of the donations
directly back in China, as Lingzi was their only daughter
and they are very poor indeed. She was their hope for
    the future, hers and theirs.

  17. As a Chinese student who was also admitted to BU last year, I wish her all the peace in heaven.
    天堂里没有恐怖和疯狂,愿如此美丽的女生永远美丽,在我们中国学生的心中。

  18. I am A University of Ottawa student .I felt so bad to hear this shocking news on TV. fortunately the killer has been arrested eventually .I am not a Christian ,but I hope that God bless you ,and your parents who had brought you to this world. All I want to say is that you are so beautiful and pure as Angela ,as white princess. RIP.

  19. May we always remember this beautiful daughter, friend, and Student. Thank you BU for making us proud to be terriers in the wake of this tragic loss, and ensuring that she will always be in our hearts and minds. May her family and friends find some comfort in knowing we all stand with you, mourn with you, pray for you, and continue to support you.

  20. R.I.P. May you have a wonderful afterlife. Many of us don’t know you really, but the photos and beautiful images of you definitely convey that you surely do have a good and beautiful heart. May you be in a good and beautiful place. Such goodness and beauty shall not randomly and senselessly die in vain. Reason and meaning will be revealed, Justice shall be given, and Balance will be achieved. Things are always greater than ourselves or any one individual, but we must not forget ourselves or the individuals. Especially one such as you. There is purpose to every death, as there is to every life. We shall find Purpose, we shall bring Justice and Balance, and we will find Sense and Meaning to this seemingly Crazy Senseless World, if only in your honor, for your memory. You were randomly taken from this world by a cowardly act. But be rest assured that the honorless individual(s) will not be dealt with randomly, but directly, with purpose. A much higher purpose than theirs, for this world. We shall fight for Justice, Order and Peace in your name May this always be remembered. May you never be forgotten, Lu Lingzi.

  21. All the way from Kenya,RIP dear Lu,God loves you & will grant you peace and comfort that you were denied in this world by the two guys.God has a special place for all of us and you just took your place.RIP with all my heart and soul!

  22. Lu must have been an amazing girl just from reading her family’s heart-wrenching letter. I am glad to see her immortalized in a scholarship and BU for having such foresight to know the world is sharing in her family’s grief. RIP Lu and all those who have suffered

  23. 很有意义!能让人们长久地缅怀、纪念这位智慧美丽的姑娘,还能帮助更多有着令子同样梦想的年轻学子,实现自己的梦想

  24. She came to BU with enthusiasm and hope. She spread cheer and vitality campus-wide.
May she leave this land with dignity.
The people of BU, Boston and the United States of America can make her family proud, and full of that dignity for themselves.

  25. Bostonians and all to God we pray –
    Our thoughts for people traumatised by amputation;
    Shower your blessings on those who lost loved ones;
The tragic incident in Boston on Monday afternoon,
Our wish that whatever caused the tragedy,
Nowhere people would ever experience similar event.
In our hearts we remember those who died,
A prayer that they now rest in your eternal peace.
No more heinous attacks but only acts of kindness.
Saving God may peace prevail, in Boston, and elsewhere.

    Amen.

  26. Nothing will take away the sadness and tragedy from this even. A tribute to such a beautiful. vibrant soul is the least we can do. My heart goes out to her parents and family.
