  1. The establishment of this position is both wonderful and worrisome at the same time. Wonderful, because it ministers to those in need. Worrisome, because the need ministry is defined in terms of nationality and not theology. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could move the mainstream at BU into a more universal mindset so we would not need to make a distinction between domestic and international in the context of ministry? After all, BU has a wonderful legacy in this regard.

    1. After living and studying in the US for 2 years, I can testify that international students have some unique needs, so establishment of this positition is absolutely wonderful!

  2. The needs and dilemmas of a student who is usually away from all family, in an unfamiliar place are indeed very unique. Very forward thinking of BU to take this into account. Blessings from many parents sitting half way around the world.

  3. Brittany,

What an amazing woman you’ve become! And, what a wonderful and unique opportunity. I am very excited for you. Hospitality, compassion, all the things mentioned in the article sound like they suit you very well.

May God continue to bless you, your husband, Amber, your mom, and your dad, and those that God has entrusted you to serve. God’s love and peace surrounds you always.
