  1. There is an old saying “when the going gets tough the tough get going”. All this brain power wasting its time begging the government for money it does not have could be better spent developing and putting into action new models that get the government out of medical research. The insertion of the federal government into medical research has had unintended consequences that contribute to a bloated wasteful system and over regulation that can actually be a huge hinderance to research progress. The people of Massachusetts collectively pay millions in federal tax dollars each year. Let us work together to find a way to keep that money here in Massachusetts rather than having to go begging for it back from politicians who think they know how to spend it better than we do.
The CBO says this nation will be running chronic budget deficits due to obligations to social security and medicare to name just a few of the federal government financial wows. The sooner the people MA which has an economy deeply dependent on medical research come up with a tax deductible model to keep more of our tax dollars here in MA the sooner we will start to climb out of the box.
