  1. Wow. What an incredible video. Nick, I think you have really captured what all of us at BUOC love about our club. Thanks again for coming with us and producing a video that you and all of our members should be proud of for years to come.

  2. This makes me miss the BUOC so much! Awesome way to capture the essence of adventures through the video. I know it must’ve been really challenging to hike the summit, and also to film the hike. I’m impressed the videographer did all of that in the freezing cold and pulled it off so beautifully. I think it’s safe to say, people who are not in the outing club are missing OUT.

    1. I thought that way when I saw “March of the Penguins.” It takes a lot of courage and stamina to shoot in those kinds of conditions. Great job on the video, Nick. And great story, Amy. The feature really brings to life this club and its activities.

    2. Thank you guys. It was a self-discovering experience for all of us involved, for sure. I’m so proud of my 2 little cameras, the Canon 5D and the Go Pro, they performed excellent under those conditions. I fell with the 5D many times, and after a couple of wipes and it was ready to go again. Everyone should visit the mountains in every season. It has it’s own beauty and feel each time. I can’t wait to go again with my “comrades” from the BUOC!!

  3. Beautiful! I wish that I had been a hiker back in my BU days. I would have had a great time in the the BUOC. I’ve been hiking with my local alpine club now for about ten years. I was wondering at what altitude you started the hike.

  4. Heads up: BUOC is still operating over the summer. In fact, we just got back from a really relaxing weekend of camping, hiking, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking at Basin Pond in New Hampshire. Check us out online and be sure to sign up for our mailing list.

    It’s better outdoors!
