    Rich Barlow is a senior writer at BU Today and Bostonia magazine. Perhaps the only native of Trenton, N.J., who will volunteer his birthplace without police interrogation, he graduated from Dartmouth College, spent 20 years as a small-town newspaper reporter, and is a former Boston Globe religion columnist, book reviewer, and occasional op-ed contributor.   1. I have this horrible roommate who never showers and is always writing computer programs or watching Seinfeld. Can BUroomswap help with off campus switches?

  2. I think this is a great site. School is for learning, and it’s very hard to study if you’re trapped in a living situation that’s stressful and distracting. I know a lot of people at various schools whose studies were completely derailed by “problem” roommates, and it’s definitely something colleges should pay attention to. Anything that helps speed along the process is an asset.
