  1. Congratulations Dr. Bicknell for a meaningful career that influenced me and so many others! And thanks for promoting Peace Corps! I am a BUSPH interntaional health alumae with Arden O’Donnell, whom you mentioned here; I presently work as the Director of Programming and Training with PC Botswana where all 115 of our Volunteers work on HIV/AIDS. Although I am not a returned PC Volunteer, I have seen how it has influenced and inspired so many people here to focus on public health and the many ways we can improve our response to problems. Again – thanks for your work! Heather M. Robinson

  2. Dear Bill,

I thought of your lecture, being on the plane yesterday all day to a health project in Pakistan, where I am right now. I really regret not to have been able to listen to you yesterday. Want to say a big Thank you for giving me all your inspirations during the MPH course 14 years ago and of course you significantly influenced the way I am thinking about development work since then! All the best, Matthias
