    Rich Barlow is a senior writer at BU Today and Bostonia magazine. Perhaps the only native of Trenton, N.J., who will volunteer his birthplace without police interrogation, he graduated from Dartmouth College, spent 20 years as a small-town newspaper reporter, and is a former Boston Globe religion columnist, book reviewer, and occasional op-ed contributor.   1. Rich: Thank you very much for your pitch-perfect tribute to my dear friend and colleague Peter Morrissey. You captured the essence of this extraordinary man. Given the depth and breadth of his character and accomplishments, that’s a very tall order.

  2. I’m sad for Peter Morrissey’s loved ones but I’m glad we have this article to honor him. Case studies have been published praising the work Peter accomplished in the PR industry, but I never heard him brag. I knew him as a kind person who made me feel welcome in the PR faculty at BU. He openly shared his vast professional networks, even allowing me to “borrow” some of his guest speakers. My students and I are better off having known him.

  3. Peter Morrissey was the model of a true public relations professional. He was a gentleman, a gentle man, and a class act.I am saddened to learn of his passing.
