  1. This class appears to be a well-deserved and fine tribute to the greatest show ever created for television. The work of the actors, directors and writers of The Wire deserves to be studied for years to come.

  2. This class sounds really cool and I am glad that the knowledge that classes like this one exists at BU is being disseminated to the wider BU community. As a BU undergrad, I was only able to take a sociology class that focused on similar issues in my last semester as a senior and the fact that I took this class was as a result of a random series of events. The class was wonderful and I hope such classes are advertised better. I think it is a shame that so many people graduate without ever taking classes that teach on some of the core injustices of this society.

  3. The Wire is an absolutely incredible show and I was looking for a course on it this semester, without realizing that one was going to be taught here. It’s a shame to have missed it, but it sounds like the students got some great insight into the deterioration of urban America.

  4. As a BU sociology alum and someone who just last week finished watching the entire series, PLEASE offer this course again! The Wire is an amazing series and I could not help but think throughout my viewing how valuable a teaching tool it could be.
