  1. This was honestly just too good of a job for Chambers to pass up. His entire family is in the PA area and he moves up several notches in the conference power ranking. As much as it suks to see him go, I would’ve made the same decision if he were him. Wish him the best of luck and hope that we can hire someone to continue the success the basketball program as slowly built these last two years.

    1. Are you a Tom Chambers fan or a BU Terriers fan? Who the hell cares if Tom Chambers is from Pennsylvania. He just took us for a joy ride for the past 2 years while fattening up his wallet and bolting for a better conference. Listen if we wanted mediocrity have one of the student body coach the freaking team because it seems we are always AVERAGE in bball. If that’s the goal save money and hire a grad student to coach and use that money for a scholarship. Rather have that than this type of fiasco and charade again.

  2. Disgrace. All of his comments about “building a program” were nothing but empty words. BU gives this guy a chance, he wins largely with WOLFF’s players, and then bolts for a state school that hardly supports Bball. I look forward to watching BU continue its success under an honest coach.

  3. So the contract that he signed with BU until the 2015-16 season, is voided? WTF did that contract mean if he could just leave after signing that?

    GO BU!

  4. Well, Coach Chambers and his staff did a heck of a job assessing the strengths of the players he had and creating offensive schemes that worked well enough to win a lot more games than his predecessor. It was painful to watch the Terriers in action prior to his arrival. No offense to any former players or coaches, but it was brutal to watch some of those games in the Wolff-era.

  5. Tough to see Chambers go, but had a feeling his time with us would be short. It was fun while it lasted. It will be interesting to see what happens next. Go BU!

  6. Why can’t BU create a basketball program that will be consistent and vying for championships. I can’t understand it. We have the arena, we have the facilities, and we are located in the northeast where it is very fertile ground for basketball recruits. This is systematic and needs change from the top. Problem is we focus too much on Ice Hockey and not enough on basketball. Chambers is a bum and we need to find someone who is willing to stay here for the long haul and bring this program to elite status. We should be dominating our America East conference. How the hell does Vermont and places like Albany beat us. This is a disgrace and the university needs to hire a legit head coach with the cache to lure recruits.

  7. At the rate we are going for the men’s basketball team, I’d rather watch girls softball and basketball duke it out in an arm wrestling contest while raising money for scholarships.
