How to get your fix, one audio clip at a time

The click of a bicycle chain, the shoosh of paper spitting out of a copy machine, the ka-ching of a cash drawer at the GSU? Listen to the audio player and let us know what you think you hear — and where it is on campus — in the comments below. Tuesday at 9 a.m. we’ll give you a visual hint. Wednesday morning we’ll reveal the answer: The Edward Monti fountain in front of the College of Communication.

Sounds like the fountain outside COM.

It’s definitely the sound of running water.

Is it a fountain at COM or LAW?

    Campus Sounds...

I think I hear Fox Fountain behind the GSU. I thought it might be the COM fountain but it seems quieter and more serene.

    gramophone with terrier

Nice take on the Victor logo but you’ve got that poor Terrier listening to a Columbia machine. Nipper would be aghast!

It sounds like rain or maybe someone taking a shower. There are voices in the background and at least one medium sized vehicle goes by.

    Fountain/waterfall behind the GSU

could be either the fountain behind the gsu or the one on the com lawn. The water seems to be falling too fast to be the fountain in the rock garden.

It’s not a bathroom, is it?

    Feels like

An episode of Law & Order. Adjust those audio levels!
