    Rich Barlow is a senior writer at BU Today and Bostonia magazine. Perhaps the only native of Trenton, N.J., who will volunteer his birthplace without police interrogation, he graduated from Dartmouth College, spent 20 years as a small-town newspaper reporter, and is a former Boston Globe religion columnist, book reviewer, and occasional op-ed contributor.   1. Your article captures perfectly the wonder of D. B. Johnson’s work and his use of Henry as the messenger, reminding us we should never let go of the feeling that anything is possible—no matter how old we are!

  2. Don and Linda (Michelin) Johnson are two of the most creative people I know. Their children’s book are wonderful and have been received glowing reviews from some of the most respected sources in the nation.

  3. As a former student of Prof. Zinn’s as well, I am impressed by how far the inspiration fell from the tree (and up the mountain).

    Congratulations to Mr. Johnson on engaging, imaginative work I now plan to buy for my stepsons, and to Mr. Barlow and Ms. Komyerov for capturing his world so well.
